I just finished the absolute worst class that I have ever experienced in my college career thus far. Normally I keep all my books for reference, but for my own sanity I think I need to see this book exploded / incinerated / ripped to shreds in some way. What method of destruction would you reccomend that is dramatic... yet... legal.

Are there any graduate scholarships for US students attending foriegn universities? I have been looking for some time, and I'm already at the school. The few available are for students who generally do not already have advanced degrees (I already have three) or under a certain age (I'm in my mid 40's). I'm in Scotland, and the UK provide almost no funding for students not from the UK or EU, and the only other scholarships available are highly competitive and given to very few students. I could some help for this year and next year as well.

This is for people who have studied in higher education.

Aside from the content of your courses, what personal attributes and study skills helped you most in getting through your degree studies? What advice would you give someone starting studying?

Serious answers only please.

How do you prefer a student saying thanks to you for a great semester? I don't want to come off like I'm trying to suck up, but I really did learn a lot from her and enjoyed the class.

Consider this scenario: You are a journalist and you get a letter from a person who is obsessed with child pornography ONLY (no sex w/minors nothing JUST pictures on the internet, etc.) and cant help himself but is begging for help. He writes to you seeking help; however, you report him to the police. He is now in prison for life. Do you feel you did the right thing? How would your morals interferer w/ that decision?

I just finished my undergrad in English from GMU. I am now in a tough spot. I have a low gpa, due to working 65 plus hours throughout the end of my school. I would like to attend grad school for Speech Language Pathology, but a 3.0 in the min GPA for admissions. I have a 2.4 right now. What would be the best way to get my GPA up so I can pursue the career I really want? Take random grad classes, get a second bachelor's degree, get a different masters then pursue my dream? HELP!!!

If someone does not hold a degree in meteorology and works for a television or radio station, is it ok for them to use the forecast from the National Weather Service without giving the NWS credit? The NWS does have a disclaimer on their website that all their products, including forecasts, are free for public use for ANY purpose. If a degreed meteorologist uses the NWS forecast and DOES give credit, is that ok?

Critical thinking question from my Meteorology class. Opinions welcome.

I have a degree in Political Science and I'd like to go to grad school to obtain a more practical degree. I have a wide range of interests, but my lack of hard sciences and math as an undergrad limits what I can look for in a grad program. Any suggestions?

I'm in college, and all around campus I hear people talking about getting As.

I hear all the time, people saying they got As and so on... however when the college publishes statistics in courses... a really really small percentage get As.

so, do students lie to their friends about grades?
