Im currently taking chemistry as my major because I did not know if i really wanted to become a Pharmacist, but if I want to go through with it, what would I have to do? 4 years of Chem and 2 years of Pharm?

Sorry, if I'm sounding redundant but I am a chem major heading into my second semester, what steps should I take for becoming a Pharmacist?

I guess you can major in Chem while doing your pre-reqs in PharmD. Check out the school you plan on going on requirements for the PharmD program.

I'm a pre-pharm major myself, but no, you would still have to do 4 years of pharmacy school no matter what. The difference for you, is that your chem degree would count as most of your pre-reqs. In addition to all of those classes, you would have to take cell biology, microbiology, and anatomy and physiology (2 semesters). Exactly what amounts will depend on what pharm school you're looking at.

Pharmacy schools vary among specific entrance requirements. However, it is an advanced degree after college. As a high school student don't worry about taking sociology or psychology unless you find them interesting. You are advised to gain a strong foundation in math and sciences. See the link below for admission requirements for the pharmacy program at USC for an example.

Pharmacy school is either 3 or 4 years once you are accepted.......not 2.

I'm not even sure what country you're from. I suggest you contact the nearest College of Pharmacy for an idea of what you will need to do just to apply.

You can, if you desire, can a bachelors before starting Pharmacy school. Pharmacy school is 4 years long.
To become a pharmacist, first you must complete your PrePharm prereqs. You also must take the PCAT and apply to a school of your choice.
