Is it boring? I have optometry as an option among others if I go to a graduate school, but I am not sure.......

I am thinking it would be a flexible job to have if I have a family but I have my doubts.

I needed advice in the following topics :
1: Assume that you have been invited to give a short talk on how to succeed in job interviews.Your target audience is a group of young school leavers who are looking for jobs. You plan to cover only a small number of important points to note when they attend job interviews.

2: Assume that the principal of your secondary school is inviting alumni to give short talks to students who are about to take a public examination about how to overcome exam pressure. You have accepted the invitation to give a talk and wish to make it persuasive.
Furthermore, any comment if somebody told you that Talking freely to English native- speakers is a more effective way to learn English than attending English lessons in classrooms.
Thank you in advance.

I've heard some people say that. That to wait to get married, have children etc. go to college first. I have to say that I never wanted the "college" experience of a dorm and parties and all that crud, moving away from home, etc. Sorry but no! I had my child at 20, I was on my own and very mature.

Finished college 4 year degree at 31, and most people I went to school with were 40's average age was 45 on up. I'm sorry but I don't think people have to stick to some "conformed American plan" of graduating from highschool, go to college away from home in a dorm, get a job, get a house, get married, have kids at 40. Sorry, sorry. sorry!

Do you agree or disagree? Be nice! : )

I really don't understand it and I have a algebra test Monday so I need a website where I can learn it. Thank you in advance. I also have another question. Could I get the high school I attended in any kind of trouble for not teaching me algebra? I am in college now because I want to learn algebra so I am taking Fundamentals of algebra but since I wasn't taught it in high school I am having a little more trouble learning it than everyone else but I am trying.

I have often thought that there should be three different types of High School diplomas. First, would be a diploma for meeting minimum requirements in Math, Science, reading, History, etc. Second, a College prep Diploma, which would be for those that do not have to take the refresher courses before they take collge level corsues (plus at least one foreign language), and a vocational diploma, for those that took auto mechanis, machine shop, etc. and were good enough to have a technical or vocational skill when they got out of high school.

I'm currently a freshman in college and I have recently decided to become a physician. I haven't declared a major yet but I'm thinking about choosing English as my major and Biology as my minor. Do you think I could still get into medical school even thought my major isn't Biology, Chemistry or Pre-med?

I'm a professor and from year to year I see students, ON AVERAGE, gradually dropping off in attendence and in general work ethic.

Even at the "top" colleges, the hardest part seems to be getting in. Once in, it seems like many party, cheats, and copies their way to a grade. It bothers me a bit since so many students have state aid or scholarships paying for them to take these classes.

Should professors crack down and start flunking people or just see this as natural with more people going to college?

I am in the military, so that's why I decided on an onling college. This college is accredited. I have a BA in Anthropology-Sociology, and I am going to Capella and working toward a MS in Mental Health Counseling, and then a Phd in counseling psychology. It is a very intense program, and I will also need to work at an internship/practicum for 4,100 hours, as well as do a dissertation. I will also be a licensed counselor at the completion of my MS. But, I really want to teach at a University, even if it is a community college or some sort of branch. Could I still do this, even though the college is online?

If someone misses 4 years of high school...and their parents don't look after them properly....and then they get G grades in everything apart from D grade in English) as a consequence of not getting an education.....and then no-one helps them and they don't know what to do and they sit at home untill they're 18. How can they get their education back? How do you recommend they catch up? ..and how many years will this take? Has anyone ever been in this situation before? Would they be too old to have home tuition in GCSEs ? and if so wouln't it take them 4/5 years of home tuition...if that's how much they'd missed in school. What should that person (me) do if their parents didn't have a CLUE how to organise home tuition e.g.how many hours per week they'd need, what subjects, what organisations can help/who to contact etc......
Would I be better doing GCSEs at college? If so how? connexions told me that it's ussually only possible to go up one or two grades (so I would go up to E/F grades)

I was looking at previous questions on people also wanting to be a dermatologist and asking what plan of course they should follow, basically people just suggested bio, chem, and premed classes.

So far i have finished all my Bio and Chem classes now i am at the point where i am supposed to go to for a school that majors in Dermatology. Do i just go to med school and specialize in that subject?

Also does anyone know any good schools within Southern California that has good teachings in Dermatology?

*Would like to hear from people who are also wanting to be a Derm also...

Thanks.
