I've heard some people say that. That to wait to get married, have children etc. go to college first. I have to say that I never wanted the "college" experience of a dorm and parties and all that crud, moving away from home, etc. Sorry but no! I had my child at 20, I was on my own and very mature.

Finished college 4 year degree at 31, and most people I went to school with were 40's average age was 45 on up. I'm sorry but I don't think people have to stick to some "conformed American plan" of graduating from highschool, go to college away from home in a dorm, get a job, get a house, get married, have kids at 40. Sorry, sorry. sorry!

Do you agree or disagree? Be nice! : )

OK, why are you sorry? I think everyone should do what is best for them financially and emotionally. Looks like you did it; congratulations. Now quit apologizing and be proud of your acomplishments.

Good deal, I am 23 and still in college, the average age is not in the 40s though. If you went to day classes the average age would be 21 or so. I have to take night classes becuase I work all day and I would say about 2/3 are still in there 20s.

With economy the way it is and will be for a long time, a degree is almost a necessity. What"s bad also is most job's don't have a pension. What about job security if somebody is better than you has a degree. You better have a retirement of a least
$300,000.00 social security won't be enough. ect...
pretty grim Just something to prepair for.
