Higher Education (University +) - September 2006

I am wondering if anyone has every tried online colleges, and if they had a good experience. Were you able to find a job after? Or do people look at it as a not good enough degree because it's from online. What should I know about accreditation and if this college is real?

I haven't had a job in 4 years while i'm in college. I go to a cheap state school that my parents pay for, we're talking $2,000/term total. I worked for 3 years part-time and full time while i was in highschool. im in my last year in college and don't really need a job, but should i just get one anyway so it wont look bad on my resume?

I am so bad! I skip my two days a week class once every two weeks or so! I just can't get my professor sometimes and he isn't very clear, that doesn't help a lot! I just study on my own.

I have work-study at the Career Services department of my college. My work-study supervisor told me that I should start charging and contracting to do freelance desktop publishing. And she knows I am in the process of creating a portfolio, to make money on the side.
She is a very by the books type person and she doesn’t want to bend any rues to help any
Students. BUT she also is an author, but she wants me to design a flyer and cover for her
book under work-study pay. I don't think this is fair because I am being paid by the school , and if she went out to contract someone she would have to pay out of pocket, a lot more than $7 an hour. I am shocked because she is trying to take advantage of me and is coming up with all these ideas for a flyer but she isn’t sayin anything about paying me, she is trying to make it under work-study, what should I tell my hypocrite boss?

Destruction of objects in museum environments?
Part of my thesis for graduate school is on the destruction of objects in museum environments caused by visitors or staff. I am looking for real life examples of people destroying works of art. Have you ever witnessed anyone touching, writing on, climbing on, etc. a work of art in a museum or museum like setting? Have you ever seen someone disregard ropes or other barriers to get a closer look at a work of art? Have you ever seen anyone leave garbage behind? Take flash photography? Have you ever witnessed a security guard repremanding someone for any of these things? If you have seen someone do something along these lines or if you have done any of those things could you give me an example. I would really appreciate it. (If you have done any of these things I will not think less of you and will not include any names or screennames in my paper) Thank you in advance.

My professor asked me if I had any ideas on how to get the students to particupate in class. I believe he asked me to get a perspective from a student. I have thought of one idea, but I would like more ideas. My idea is group work, but the flaw I see in that is that in some groups not everyone particupates. This course is a abnormal psy. in college.

Are D1 College athletic programs generating revenue for their universities? If so does the money go towards the entire unversity or do they go back to the athletic program (Ie for scholarships and such).
