What do you have to do to get into medical school? I was thinking of trying to be an ob/gyn doc. How long is medical school? Do you think I would have a good chance b/c I am female and African-American? I'm sure there is fin aid right? My undergrad is in sociology, will this work against me since I have no strong bio background? I ask b/c in my area female african am are becoming ob docs at a fast rate and they are very popular. Are there any pros/cons of medical school or going into ob? Do you know of anyone who is an ob? Are you currently in medical school? What is the average earning of an ob in the Illinois area? This may sound stupid but is there any suggestion on how to enhance learning comprehension. You know. Herbal supplements and so forth. I'm having a hard time retaining what I'm studying. And I've quit smoking weed some time ago so thats not the problem. May be I should start back.

We need a book that has a good section on research papers and writing with MLA style. Some grammar would be good too. (A book like this may not exist.)

How does one run higher ed- as a business or as something completely different? What would be so wrong with approaching the administration of higher ed as one would running it as a business?

I am not asking whether higher ed should be run for profit, but whether higher ed institutions should hold their employees- faculty and staff- to the standards of the corporate world. Furthermore, the upper administration might be more open to innovation if they approached their positions as if the institution was a business. It seems that the upper administrators can easily embrace the status quo- how everything has always been done. New and radical ideas that could improve process and result in revenue are shot down without much consideration.

What is your take on this?

Its already the second week of school and my brain is completly fried.

I've been trying to think of ways to study so I reinforce my knowledge of each subject. The thing is, all these assignments keep over lapping.

How do you suggest taking some free time to review a subject, when your brain is completley done.

I have thought long and hard about it and have made a most definate decision about going to it in about 2-3 years time. Going to study in a foreing country (im in Ireland at the moment by the way) is a big step, so i could use any advice i could get. all the presentations i have been to of the college are very good, and the website is amazing.
Do you guys think im making a good choice in going to this school for the game developement, and computer graphics design? or am i being led astray.

Im sure i will get some people who will say "if your asking on here then your not ready" well of course im not so i look for others guidance while coping on my own as best i can. I have 3 years to grow and be more determined. Until then fullsail is my goal.

My biggest setback will be the cost, wich suprizingly is not really shown on the site, or any other sources i have. how much would the course be to say go for 21 months and get my bachelors degree in game developement.

Any extra info?

I am a junior at a tier 1 school, however my gpa is really low for me to apply to grad schools. I am strongly considering dropping out this semester and transfering to a tier 3 school where I know for certain I have a better chance to get my grades up(easier classes). I would ultimately graduate from there. So, I am asking is it worth it to trade DOWN undergrad schools so I can get my GPA up and go to a better grad school? Thanks!
