I am so sick of this, I want everyone to know that there are other options besides wasting their money at the campus bookstore, I wish I could just slap these fools for being so stupid or lazy. I see all of these drones lined up waiting to spend five times what they could buy the same book for online and then even worse- they return when classes are done and sell the same books back for pennies on the dollar. What the heck is wrong with college students??? I have been in college a shore tiem and allready buy my books online, I use Textbook411.com http://www.textbook411.com to search all of the online stores for the best price, then I buy the cheapest book, new or used I dont realy care if it saves me money. Sometimes its on amazon, sometimes half.com http://www.half.com , and even wallmart.com ..... maybe I care more because its my own money, not my parents .... but still.... It jsut makes me sick to see students waste money.

I was a journalism major and I often did work as a television reporter, can I ask the student who was my photog. to write me a letter of recommendation. The student has since graduated and works in another field but she can attest to my work ability and she worked hands on with me so she would know if I would be able to complete a graduate program in journalism. Is doing that a big NO-NO.

I go to a technical school and in the process of almost completing my associate's degree in criminal justice. I want to transfer to a four year school, and i asked my tech school about transferring to complete my Bachelor's and basically they said it was up to the school whether or not my credits/degree would transfer? and the problem wouldn't be the fundamental classes, but rather the "core" classes. can someone explain this to me? is this how all colleges are, it's up to them to accept the credit/transfer?

Most likely the programs would be concerning business, public relations, communication, international affairs? The potential student studies Italian and wants to pursue a masters in her English language. I am taking 'English Language' at university but have been informed that you also have to take 2 additional subjects.
I was thinking of taking Philosophy but my uncle (who used to be a lecturer) warned me that it is very complicated and confusing, especially if you are taking it as an additional subject due to not everything being covered.
Advice from those who have studied Philosophy or taught it please!
