I just graduated this May with a B.A. in English and have now decided to go to Grad school for Communications. I would like to email three of my past Eng. professors for letters of recommendation, but don't know how I should word my emails. Any tips that advice that anyone has on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Seriously, I am going on my fourth year in college, and I get absolutely NO help from my parents. (not because they don't want to but because they can't afford to) I have to take out loans, get financial aid, AND use my credit cards until they are maxed out, just to survive. I am holding down two jobs, and classes start soon...but I still need to work a ton just to pay all my bills. I am not trying to complain though...because personally I think it has made me a stronger person and when I go out in the real world, I will be the one who can handle it just fine. I am just sick of all these kids who rely on there parents...slum around and claim that classes take up too much of thier precious time, and they can't make any money on thier own. Even if you have just one bill paid by your parents, appreicate it, because someday, they will cut you off. Thoughts?

My girlfriend, who lives in the Province of Québec, wants to enroll at Laval University, and is waiting for the go-ahead. Today is August 29, and school starts September 5. What should she do: 1) forget the waiting list, go right away to the School anyways and ask for admission on the spot; 2) pray that she moves up the list to number 0 by September 5; 3) get the names and address of at least 10 people who have been admitted there; 4) jump off a high bridge or building? Please do not send fluffy, impractical answers like "hang in there, etc...".

I graduated in May. Most Mba programs I have looked at require 2 to 5 years experience. Is this just a recommendation or do they hold true to this? Thanks!!!

I am originally from England, I moved to the US this summer. I am starting college tomorrow (I'm starting later in life- I'm 23, so I will be older than the freshmen). I am worried about the differences between England and the States, could you give me some advice on how to make friends and keep up with my studies?

The problem is there is no free housing at my college at this time. This is supposed to be my 3rd year at the college, and I was on campus the other 2 years, so I could also have been garunteed housing for this year if I had only recontracted for this year. However, I did NOT recontract for this year because the college is in Maryland, and we were living in Maryland, so I thought maybe I could just not stay on campus this year and instead just take the bus to campus from our house in Maryland. However, this May my mother decided to move to Troy, NY to live with her friend, and I went with her, thinking that I would still be able to get housing on campus at the college in Maryland and go. But now they are saying there is no housing available, and classes started 8/28, and I am not there; I am still in Troy, NY!!!:(( Needless to say, I have GOT to be at the college ASAP before I miss too much that I can't catch up. But I have to have somewhere to stay. So what can I do? Please help!!!

I was good in studies till secondary and got 75% in the secondary exams. After that the performance declined as I got into love with a girl. In senior secondary there was a poor performance and I got just 52%. My subjects are physics, mathematics and chemistry.
The next problem happened when I got failed for two years in the first year of my graduation. That time I never used to take studies seriously but I am very serious about my carrier. I have taken admission in the first year of my graduation once again.
But the problem is that I have became 21 years old and what should I do to start my earnings at the earliest.
What should I do after my graduation. I am really in too much confusion. Your consultancy is invited.
Thank you
