Might be a good idea if others like you and those that have graduated, but can't find a suitable job, write to Tony Blair and ask the same question of him, I can't see his sons being unable to find jobs. It would be interesting to see what his answer would be and then publish it on here and see if any others got a similar response.

Be good fun if thousands of people wrote asking those questions, might even get rid of him then. His Government are making us pay up to £30,000 for an educations and we have no chance of ever buying somewhere to live and more importantly getting a good job, so we can pay back the money we are saddled with for life.

No you cannot sue, Your daughter just needs to find something to get her through until she can get a job that She is really wanting? It is just part of life, A person without any honors can find a job much quicker than someone that has spent 4 years in college. I don't know why that is, but it is so true and yes that is wrong. I hope that she has Good Luck finding that special Job

Sue the college? No, that's silly and you would end up embarrassing yourself and your daughter.

A college degree prepares one for a career and may give you an edge in a particular industry, but it does not guarantee a job. No college can control the job market.

After 4 or 5 years of college your daughter probably learned to be resourceful. I know I did! Have her use that knowledge to her advantage. With diligence and perseverance, your daughter will find something.

A qualification isn't a guarentee for a job! It's just proof that you've learnt the necesary skills to do a job. There are thousands of people who have degrees yet work in supermarkets. Your daughter will just have to keep a look out for an opening in the career she want. Look in magazines or journals related to the career or subject she's interested in (E.g, I look in New Scientist)
because they advertise for graduates .

You can't get your money back, you pay for the facilities and materials used to teach the skills you want/need. You don't pay for a job at the end of the degree

You cannot sue. The contract with a university is that the fees are paid for the provision of a course of study. Your daughter has had that. There is no case.

You would be better spending your time and money helping your daughter to find out why she is not being successful with her job hunt.

Sorry but that's not how it works, if your daughter went to school for something unpractical like history or art then she has only herself to blame and I'm not surprised that she cant' find a job. Being smart and graduating with "honors" will only get you so far in the real world!

An honors in what? So what, so have I but I had to pay for my own degree and work full time whilst doing it. She starts at the bottom like everyone else! Degrees only mean your ability to apply yourself in a certain way they count for little on there own. Your daughter has to go and get her hands dirty and work for what she wants.

(By the way its can't not carnt)

NO!!! SHE needs to get out and get the job and if it means she has to deal with the reality of the job market -- then so be it. It may be her attitude, it may be unrealistic expectations, or it may be that her experience is lacking, her effort to sell herself is lacking or the degree program she took is not a good fit with the organizations she is applying for. All these points can say whether or not a person is hired whether it is with a Degree or an Honors Degree.

Hate to be blunt about this, but no of course you cant sue!!! I'm afraid that's just sods law, and you say she cant get a good job? Even Graduates with honours have to start somewhere, and if that means starting at the bottom , so be it! Even the most successful people start at the bottom.

No you can't sorry. College can be a scam in some ways depending on your major. For example, there are a lack of job openings for english and history majors. I know a person with a history degree doing a job not related to his major.
