dear friend,
know one thing... you cannot force yourself on a thing which you do not want to do. now consider if you get the degree in your hand and get in this job. do you think you will be able to give your best of it.
No.....never..... your life might become more miserable.
i think you should quit. i understand the fear that you might lose money, but it is better to lose a few now rather than lose the plenty life of colourful career that you might be interested to join in.
but before you quit you must really decide where do you want to join in, whether in "arts"or "commerce" or "media" "fashion" etc.
ask yourself in which do you spend your more time in. what do you do in your free time?
if it is like "gardening"- go for horticulture.
if it is watching television- go to media or acting.
if it is "painting"- go for painter. etc.
i suggest that you should have an "IQ" or "apptitude " test to understand your nature and the concellor will let you know on what field you can show your best.
see, friend. the secret of every successful personalities in this world is that they enjoyed the work they did. not because they were forced to do it.
if one enjoys his studies and work. it no longer becomes difficult as the person know that this is what he/she wanted. when you enjoy work, it becomes a game.
thats the secret. some people might criticise you now, but the same people might praise you later. you have to decide your faith.
listen to me...go for an "apptitude test", they will surely guide you.
best of luck.

in case you at the on the spot are not attracted to engineering and locate the mathematics too not ordinary (i wager you advise Calculus), you received't do properly and later probably hate any interest you get. Why spend some time being depressing? for that reason quitting is extra constructive. My answer will be diverse in case you stated that you had a interest for engineering or that you loved math and technology, yet i don't believe of this is the case. do not imagine of this as ultimately failing, really imagine of it as a existence journey. not each little thing we attempt will continuously workout habitual. The Indian monetary equipment is growing very quickly and meaning they'll be many diverse opportunities contained in the destiny. imagine about what actual interests you, and take those type of practise. As you study extra, what you want to do turns into clearer. you've a kinfolk which will assist you. good success

If this isn't something that you want to be doing for the rest of your life, then get out. Alot of people get into engineering because of the money, but if you hate it I can pretty much guarantee you won't do well enough to get a good job. Sorry.
Engineering isn't the only way to make money. Business and finance are also pretty good, and you might enjoy one of those more. Or maybe you could become a pharmacist, that's pretty lucrative. Or try communications. There are literally hundreds of things that you can study, so you don't have to say in a major that you're not interested in.

If you already can't keep up with the studies (which get harder every year) and aren't interested in it you must quit.
Why bust your chops to aim for a place you don't want to be? There are other good paying possibilities without the math and science grief.
Go see a guidance counselor at your school and see if you can salvage the courses to use toward another degree. If not get catalogs from other schools. Some may have the career path you want and be hungry enough for students to take all your courses for credit.

I'm in my second year of engineering and I hear you man, engineering is hard as hell. And I feel the exact same way too, should I quit engineering. But I have concluded that no, I won't quit.
Engineering is a difficult field. I have figured that something that is difficult will most of the time reap a high return, and I believe that is true with engineering. And I need a high return.
In this world, money gets rid of pain. Do you know if you don't have health insurance, if you get hurt and need the emergency room, you'll be taken two hours away to a county hospital because you didn't pay for health insurance that the private hospital wants? Your life is on the line but yet you go on a two hour drive and die.
I thinking, "come on! The wife is dying! Let her have medical treatment from the private hospital!"
"No," responses the private hospital.
"What do you want then so that my wife will live?"
"A lot of money."
"You can't demand that? My wife's life is on the line!"
"Yes we can, and we will"
"Fine, I will bring you lots of money."
"Good..."
When my wife or children have to go to the hospital, I want them to live. So I have agreed with them so my loved ones may live. Money is crucial. If you don't have it, you'll suffer. Or even worse, die.
Don't give up on engineering. For your future family's sake.

you shouldn't study for a career just for the money, if you dont enjoy the work you'll be miserable. try to see what you can transfer and take something you think you will like better.
