Because my ambition is to be in the CIA as an analytical methodologist, I really want to do well the rest of High School. I am now a sophomore and last year, I didn't do so well. This year, I know I am going to do well; I am going to apply myself. Now, from your experience, do I still have any chance of making it into the government? Also, should I be in Honors classes, and are they relevent? I don't know if Honors classes will increase my chances of being accepted. I just feel like I missed out because I haven't been in any Honors classes and I probably won't make it into any regardless if I get straight A's...

I currently hold a 3.9 (about 3.6 unweighted) weighted GPA. I'm in the top 10% of my class. I got a 30 on my ACT. I've taken 3 AP classes and am taking 3 more in my senior year. I'm in 3 clubs including National Honor Society. I play 3 sports a year, basketball volleyball and track and field and i'm captain in all three of them. I work also 3 days a week during the school year. I would like to know what the chances are I could get into a school such as the University of Michigan (GO BLUE!) and what I could do to improve my chances. Also I'm undecided so I'm open to suggestions of other good colleges that I have a good chance of going to.

This question came up because I went to a meeting for high school seniors interested in attending U of M and I realized how many people there are with good acadmeics, leadership, volunteer hours, etc. So I'm just wondering what my chances are. Basicallly I'm looking for suggestions and reassurance. Thank You.

Is it a good idea to work part-time and go to medical school? Or is medical school impossible as it is, so working would be a bad idea?

Hi all, I am an Asian seeking admission to a Master of Library Science program in USA. I took my GRE yesterday and was very disappointed to see my verbal score at 500. I got 800 for my quantitative part, and have very good undergraduate academic results. I am also on a full-paying scholarship by my home goverment. May I know if my GRE result would be acceptable? I am very reluctant to retake my GRE as it was a very painful process for me. (ps I will be applying to very good schools such as university of michigan, illinois, north carolina, etc. )
Appreciate your advice.

I will need to take 15000 student loans for my UT Austin Masters in Acc. program (ranked #1). This is despite of in state tuition remission and merit scholarship amounting to $30000 awarded by UT Austin. I have 15000 in existing loans from undergrad. Is around 30,000 in loans too much to repay? My other option is to take up a 60K job as a logistics analyst at Sony in New Jersey.

I do have a very high GPA, awards and some community achievements. Yet somehow i do not think thats enough to get into a school like princeton or yale.

keep in mind that i do have letters of recommendation as well.

I'm not sure what would constitute as an eligible admission criteria.
