Because my ambition is to be in the CIA as an analytical methodologist, I really want to do well the rest of High School. I am now a sophomore and last year, I didn't do so well. This year, I know I am going to do well; I am going to apply myself. Now, from your experience, do I still have any chance of making it into the government? Also, should I be in Honors classes, and are they relevent? I don't know if Honors classes will increase my chances of being accepted. I just feel like I missed out because I haven't been in any Honors classes and I probably won't make it into any regardless if I get straight A's...

you should do your best in your 9th, 10th, and 11th year so you can slack off your senior year.

Trust me because i slacked off my 9th, 10th, and 11th year and by the time i was a senior i was staying in CR until 6 p.m. sometimes even 7 p.m. just to get credits i would've gotten at the beginning years?

Long story short start strong.

You'll do fine ! Just be sure to get to know your teachers and guidance counselor as much as possible. When you have problems with your school work, don't try to go it alone....make an appointment with your teacher to discuss what you don't understand. Even if it doesn't help you to understand any better, teachers are very impressed by students who are really trying, and if you are on the borderline between an A and a B, they will probably slide you up the scale rather than down if they know you have really been trying. Also, the more your teachers and guidance counselor know you, the better letters of recommendation you will get when you apply to colleges and/or jobs. And it might help you get into those honors classes if you think that's what you need to do.

First things first. The CIA hires college graduates, preferably ones with a Master's degree. That's a long way off for you. Your first job is to do well enough in high school that you get in a respectable college.

If you're still interested at that stage, look at the CIA's web page. They tell you what they're looking for. The right foreign language is always good; right now they really need Arabic speakers. If/when they come to your college campus recruiting, talk to them. They'll tell you the sort of people they want, the sorts of skills they need.

do the honors classes. if you want to get into the cia go to college and get a degree, colleges like it when you take harder classes(im in the process of applying) so honors classes are beneficial.

Be yourself and you will see old friends and meet new friends. Smile and be friendly and open to people who say, "Hello" to you. Say hello to each of your new teachers and remember that it's the first day for everyone and you won't be the only one nervous. Good luck.

Just work your hardest this year...

TALK TO YOUR SCHOOL'S COUNSELOR! He/She will know the best course of study to take for the career field you are interested in. This is SO important....

Good luck, and don't be nervous! ;) Be organized, and work hard... stay on top of those grades, because nobody else is going to do it for you!

TTYL!
