I appreciate all answers, but please leave the sarcasm to a minumum. I never said I didnt have a savings or collateral, I just wanted to know if you can receive a loan without a job.

i don't think you could unless you're doing student loans than all you need is your parents to co-sign.

Yes, you can apply for a loan. Your chances of RECEIVING a loan, however, will depend on whether you're a student or not. It will also depend on your academic record. For example, if you have a history of flunking out of courses, you are less likely to receive a student loan.

In any case, an application does not gaurantee receiving a loan.

Are you what is considered an independent student? If so, then yes you can qualify for the Stafford loan program. You have to be enrolled in at least 9 units at an accredited school.

If your looking for a loan for something other than school...then no.

You can receive a student loan with no job, and you might be able to qualify for a grant as well. CHeck out the FAFSA and PEll Grant websites.

if it's for college... yes and you'll more than likely need a co-signer. there are some lenders out there who are willing to loan you the money but you will have to get a job soon after graduation to start repayment.

go to your financial aid office or EOPS office for assistance. you can also check out www.salliemae.com

If you need student loans, you can get one with a co-signer and REALLY good credit. You don't have to pay them back until after graduation, so there you go.

Probably YES for a student loan (for educational purposes)
Probably NO for any other loan type.

Nope. You have to have some way to pay it back, or it's not a loan.
