I'm not eligible for financial aid and want to finish college. I'm a single mother of three trying to support them and go to college help!

You are eligible for Financial Aid maybe not pell grants. But student loans are financial aid. They are signature loans that you qualify for just by filling out the FAFSA. The interest rates are relatively low and they have reasonable pay back times. There are also alternative loans you may qualify for. But if you're serious about going back to school you may want to go part time to start if funding is an issue. Good luck!! I was a single mom too and finished my BA before I turned 30. Its a great thing for your kids to see the value of education.

There are lots of scholarships available to single moms! Talk to your financial aid counselor about other options. You could go to the library and look through the scholarship books and apply to every one of them! Its time consuming but its worth it. Some websites will even do the search for you! There is a wealth of info out there you just have to make it a priority to keep on keeping on! Good Luck!!

If you are a single white female you can forget ever being able to afford going back to school! I am in the same boat as you and have found help nowhere, unless you want to take out student loans and still be paying for them when your kids are ready for college!

As a single "black" female with $24,000 in student loan debt ..... and counting, I think Tiffany's ignorant comments shows her complete stupidity. Go get your degree, loans be damned. Its worth it to have a shiny new future in a job you like that will be well compensated for.
Just think, if you spend the next 30 years of your employed life making a mere $10,000 more a year than you would without the degree, your loan investiment would have returned you $300,000. Not a bad rate of return.
