What field should i go into??

Question

I love kids.. i have taken child psyh. classes in school, i work with kids every sunday, plus i baby sit... i have lots of experinece with kids.. i just don't know what field i should get into!!!

Elementary Education sounds like it may be up your alley or even a good place for you to start. My friend teaches 3rd grade and absolutely loves it!

What age are you? What gender are you? Unfortunately, the answers to the above questions would help you get better information.

If you *really* want to make a big difference, go into health care administration, with an emphases on public policy and plan on going into higher government office that changes policies that affect children for the better. If you just feel more comfortable around kids than adults, go for a degree in elementary ed, or child development with the goal of running a good quality day care center.

I think you are very young yet, and will go through many more possiblities before settling on one.

What about something like a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Pediatric Nurse? Do you like the medical field at all? If so, nursing may be the ticket. It is a field that is high in demand, you can go just about any where an get a job. You could use your child skills to care for them when sick.

If you want to learn more and the opportunity to contribute with very little reward, then you might want to try a sort term in residential care. Thats where kids are ordered by a court to live with you, and the group who provides room board etc. Care takers are needed. Kids are usually deligquent or neglected, both need people with the gift to help them.
