Education & Reference - 17 November 2007

The first time i tried it i got caught. For my AP english class we had to write an italian sonnet and I hit a writers block like on my second part of the poem and what i wrote didnt make sense and i was frustrated because i was working hard on it. so i went on the internet and was just looking for some inspiration of some sort and plagiarised the 2 and 3rd section of another sonnet. My english teacher told me that she knew i plagiarised and when i said no i didnt she said she found it on the internet and that if it happens again i'll be reported and she was really non chalant with it. The thing is I'm a B student in her class and i really respect her as a teacher and now i'm worrried on how the rest of the year will turn out. I know what i did was wrong, i knew it was wrong when i did it. She's probably lost all respect for me as a student and i dont blame her. But i've definitetly learned my lesson......but where do i go from here?

I'm getting threatened over the internet that'll I'll get beaten up and my face will get smashed ect at school on Monday.

I'm really scared to go to school.
I just don't know what to do with my life.
I want to cry on whats going on lately.

I don't know what to do on the current situation.
I don't want to tell because it'll ruin my reputation and even more people will hate me.

And obviously I can't fight him back since hes like 10x bigger then me.

45 year old single mom of 4, with a full time job that just isn't working for me any longer. I have 3 years of nursing school behind be, but it was 23 years ago. I have limited time, limited resources, but want to make a better life for all of us and I think further education is my only option. Any suggestions?

I am really struggling with this! There are 3 parts to these question so please make sure you read carefully!

Q1.: Given points A(-7,6) and B(2,3) Sketch Vector AB on the graph.
(I DID SO)!!

Q2: Find Vector AB in Problem above as an ordered pair.
AB=Change in X, Change in Y
I put: Change in x= 2-(-7)= 9
Change in y=3-6= -3
So therefor I got the Vector of AB= (9,-3)

Q3: Find the magnitude of Vector AB in problem above. Leave in simplest radical form.
I used the pythagorean Theorem and I put:
9^2 + -3^2= 90
(9*9=81) +(-3*(-3)= 9=90 ^2= squared!!

Is this in simplest form?? Also is this correct? If not, can you please explain to me step by step how to work this problem out! Thanks in advance!! ALSO, how do you get the simplest form?

I'm having a dilemma. Assuming that I get into each school, I need to choose between two colleges.

Cazenovia College is a small college in upstate New York. The school has about 911 students in it currently. I've visited, loved the town, and the small school size. I'm planning on studying Equine Business Management at the school, and it has an excellent riding facility. The only thing is is that it is a private school and will cost around $32,000 per year but my parents will pay for only a little bit. It is also 4 hours away from home.

The other school I am interested in is UCONN, Connecticut's main state college. The tuition is much cheaper, at around $20,000 per year and my parents will pay for it. It's close to home, only about 45 minutes away. I'd be studying Equine Science there, and it is just as good as Cazenovia's program. However, the campus is huge. I feel like there's too many people. But I still would consider going there.

Which is the better choice in your opinion?

The way I understand the asvab is you take it once and if you fail it you can take it again in 30 days and if you fail it the second time you can take it again in 30 days. If you fail it after the 3rd time you must wait 6 months to take it again. After that how does it work and how many times total are you allowed to take the asvab?

By the way I am not a good test taker. I know that some people are going to wonder why I asked such a question.

i need to stay up all night to sort a few things out...any suggestions as to what i can do to survive a whoel night...and no coffee drinking...that just gets me energy high for like 20 min and then i just pass out....not literally..it not that strong but you all know wht i mean..

Okay, i've been in special ed since i was in 2nd grade, in i'm now a senior in HS. okay people constantly ask me this question "why are you in Special ed", and i always say "i don't know". because i truly don't know, i'm smart. but my teachers say i have a "language disorder" and sometimes i do tell people that's what my teacher says. and they be like "what does that mean, theres nothing wrong with the way you talk", there isn't. but i'm not that good at math at all, so if i really had to place myself in a catergorie i would say that i have a learning disability in math. idk. what do you think?

I have watched three big college football games today. One was Virginia Tech vs Miami. As a Virginia taxpayer, I want to know if my taxes are paying for this high level football at public universities. I am wondering if maybe the big, successful schools make money on football, but what about the small schools that do not attract as many spectators and probably not many TV contracts or payments. Also, do the big superpower football and basketball colleges share the wealth with other schools? In summary, are the taxpayers paying for all this entertainment?
