it was written that "Wikipedia articles are written by people and may not always be true."
and what do you think writes articles in academic journals, dogs? All articles are written by people.
Wikipedia isn't the best source in the world - however, in a paper about Wikipedia one might need to cite it. There are plenty of reasons that a citation to Wikipedia might be needed.
For citations, I use citation machine. http://citationmachine.net/ an outstanding tool for getting citations in the right format. Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia.
Citation. (2007, November 15). In Wikipedia, The Free Encyclopedia. Retrieved 04:27, November 18, 2007, from http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Citation&oldid=171593173
is the APA format citation for the Wikipedia article on citations.

Microsoft office has a referencing tab, u can select different ways of citing books, sites etc. select apa, then cite it after ur quote or info. It will give u a seperate window to fill in all the data for the site, book etc., then it will save the info and cite it after ur quote etc. This way if u have another citation from the same source, u can click the cite button and select the saved info. Hope this helps...btw, I'm assuming ur paper is being typed and not handwritten.

You really should not be using this in your term paper at all. Before you get too far, check and make sure your teacher/professor even ALLOWS Wikipedia! Many do not!

Take another look at the Wikipedia text where you got the reference. It should show you how to reference it.

not to be rude or anything, but teachers don't like seeing wikipedia references on a paper. Wikipedia articles are written by people and may not always be true.

I hate APA style....LOL. just kidding. I normally go to yahoo and put in APA referencing. They give you a lot of options and categories and how to reference them.

i agree with bella . . . Wikipedia is definitely not a good source and teachers do not like seeing it in bibliographies. in fact, my teacher will give us a 0 straight away if she sees it listed as a source!
but if you have already used it . . . well, there are references in the Wikipedia article itself, such as links to actual websites or books/articles. use THOSE in your bibliography; they would be be better sources.
and for general bibliography formatting, i recommend this: http://www.bibme.org. it's very useful!

Use www.refme.com - it automatically generates any style reference in seconds and it's really easy to use.
