As a U of Michigan student I find that even though this school embraces a mixture of people as a black male I still see alot of hidden racism from non whites. For example there are indians and asians who I dont see talking to blacks but talking to asians and then whites as much. If they feel they are better than blacks why do they still get the same minority benefits as us?

I'm thinking of studying electrical engineering. I have a 3.51 GPA, and SAT score of 2010. I'm in the science honor society, national honor society, and math honor society, and vice president of national honor society. I'm in the charity club, debate team, and ecology club. I've taken dance classes for 10 years, danced on stage MANY times, and singing lessons for 4 years and won first place when singing on stage. I was also a finalist for a vocab competition three times, and went to nationals once. I was also in this biology program where we've won national competitions. I was an intern at lockheed martin.
i've volunteered at a hospital, museum, and taught kids--and i have 300 community service hours. my short story was published once, as well as a scientific paper I've written.

what do you think? thanks.

I am on H1 visa in the US and recently converted from F1 student visa to H1. While doing this I exhausted a one-time only temp. student work permit. Now thinking of applying for full-time MBA (Finance + Intl Biz). Options:
North Eastern Univ.
Boston Univ.
Babson College
Suffolk Univ.
UMASS, Amherst
UMASS, Lowell
Univ of Toronto, Canada
York Univ, Canada

I can save more fees in Canada as I have Canadian permanent residence. Whereas in US, I will have to turn back to be an intl student but I won't get 1yr student work permit (I used it right after a recent MS in Computer Science).

Should I move to Canada:
(a) Can study full-time with lesser fees.
(b) Can work anywhere while studying as I have PR.
(c) Have no time limit to hunt for a job after MBA.
OR stay in US:
(a) Where there are more opportunities.
(b) Better schools but higher fees.
(c) But no temp. work authoization after MBA which I can use to get back on H1. Will have to keep taking courses till I get H1.

My dream is to become a family doctor once I get out of high school. I have a program in mind at the University of Ottawa. However, I don't really enjoy highschool science. Does that mean won't like science in University?

I'm not bad at it I got 82 in grade 10 science but I just don't have a passion for it as much. I am more interested in the medical part of science and the diseases and medicine not the highschool labs and stuff.

I often find that as hard as I am studying I am not performing well as others who study less. I am thinking of ordering and using a program that will increase my brain power or in other words use a higher percentage of my brain. If this program works out and I do better studying the same way with the same habits is it technically cheating or just using a resource?

Its a math exam, I havent revised for almost a week I just realised. My exam is in two days. Its kind of a one-time deal, no re-takes. I cant believe I let myself do this. I'm so lazy, how do I stop this happening again?
And what can I do in the exam to help me calm down and get the answers right?

ANYTHING you say will be amazingly appreciated!

I am looking to do an MBA (full-time) with a focus on finance (esp. risk mgt, investment mgt) + would also like to take some courses in Intl Business. Can you rank them from high to low ? Only on course value. Insight into internships & job market for international students will also be helpful. Or are all jobs taken up by MIT & HU students ?

Hi all,
Before starting college, I took a Math course at a community college and I got a C. I was told that the course would not transfer over to my college GPA but I would get credit (in units for it). However, I am wondering that when I apply to medical schools if they would use this C to calculate my overall GPA? Or is their policy the same?

Thanks
