The advice about extracurriculars is excellent. Additionally, I would recommend that if she plays an instrument, she should consider joining her local youth symphony. I didn't have very many friends at my high school, but I met tons of people with similar interests in youth orchestra.

She may be shy or not outgoing. She should smile in school and join some extra-curricular activities where she will meet people. It sounds a if she just entered the school. Tell her that she is not alone and many others are looking for friends too. Her turn will come..

uh... how old is she??? if she is still young then she will grow out of it.... the important thing is that you or her teacher dont interfere and try to make it better.... dont tell the teacher to say straight up to the other kids to be her friend.... try telling the teacher to arrange group like activities and such..... if u tell her teacher to tell students to befriend her she will get humiliated and will probally not make friends for the rest of her school life.... it is important to encourage her to make friends or play with other kids but dont go all up into school and tell people to be her friend.... that just makes your daughter look like a loser....

if she is older like in middle school or in high school then she need to see a counselor or therapist.... it isnt normal to have NO friends at all....

Talk to the teacher about it.

Maybe get to know a few of the other parents and arrange play dates so they can get to know each other.

You should go talk to her teacher and inform her. I am sure she would be willing to help encourage other students to befriend her.
