I wanted to know how you become a teacher in the USA. I'm from Scotland and have been thinking about teaching (High School) from a long time. Over here, generally speaking you get a Degree in the subject you want to teach (4 years) and then a Post Grad in High School teaching (1 year). Then you are a teacher.

I want to know the route you need to take over in the USA to teach there. I want to teach either History, Art and English. Or a combination of them. Please let me know

I've heard that 'secretary' is the longest word you can type on a conventional keyboard using just one hand.

What are some examples of words you can type without taking your fingers off the 'home row' ?

Obviously they would have to have the letter "A" as the vowel, since that's the only vowel on the home row.

What's the longest common name you can type with one hand ? My name is 'Steve,' and that's an example.

I am a 21 year old female with a High School diploma. I live in Staten Island, New York. I work a full time job 6 days a week. I can pay for some of the schooling but my living arrangements and work schedule make it very hard to pay for the whole tuition. I know that people from other countries get sponsored all the time because of the massive results i got from google, but I can't find anything about someone sponsoring an American student in America. Thanks!

The attendant has been complaining to her mother recently about her behavior. She has been diagnosed at various times as autistic, developmentally delayed, and the most recent one, as mentally retarded with an IQ in the 40s. The student's mother started having her 5-year-old son ride on the ESE bus so she could know more about what was going on. Well, one day the above incident occurred.....the student was yelling and the bus attendant told her to be quiet, then the student yelled defiantly and the bus attendant walked over to her, slapped her on the arm, shook her, and told her to shut up. When they got to school the brother and another child on the bus reported the incident to their teachers. The school principal, VP, etc. watched a video from the bus and although the quality of the video was poor, the video matched the story the children told. What punishment should the attendant receive? Suspended? Fired? Criminal prosecution?

Am I presenting myself as I really am when I use spell check? I am presenting my self as sunny. I don't know what gave me that idea when my real name is Beuregarde. I am a lousy speller and I talk with a cockney accent. My IQ is about 10 below and yet for some reason I am trying to make a good impression. Why am I doing that? and how many of you are really like me? I have nothing to gain except being corrected and making other people feel good. Should people present themselves as they really are?

My AP English teacher has a list of "Non-negotiables" when writing.

One of these "non-negotiables" is "don't start sentences with and, but, so, well, like, or then".

The sentence I need re-worded is:
"Then, a week before the Fall-Jamboree game, I was told that I was the starter and there would be no split in playing-time."

As you can see, I started the sentence with 'Then'. I was editing my paper and noticed this, yet nothing sounds good when I try to re-word it.

Help!
