If you are asking for an opinion, then here is mine.
The United States is no longer a country of manufacturing. Because of NAFTA hundreds of thousands of jobs have been lost in the U.S.
They are now being done in places like China ( suffer our little children to that country and lo and behold our 4 legged family members have been thru the mill) Wal-Mart buys 350 BILLION dollars a year from China.
Indonesia, Pakistan (look at the labels on towels etc) Dominican Republic,( many designer clothes made there because NO TAX AREAS in that country)
Mexico, South Africa, India ( try calling AT&T see how long it takes to get to india with the call so you can ask about your home billing for phone and all wireless dish network.
The fact is the workers of this country didn't help themselves by keeping wages lower, but, how could they when the stockholders wanted more money for their products. It's the old dog chasing the tail . He just keeps going in circles.
My opinion since the is a service country.....meaning we do the world purchasing and we do the world shipping that makes this country what?
At the mercy of the government and the will of the other countries.
They are already UNITED!

This is not a rant and rave opinion it based on personal experiences, and listening to the news.
