There are probably scholarships for truck drivers out there, and the best source is to utilize several free scholarship search website. However, there are several different ways to locate college tuition money, and I will list several free ways to locate college tuition money.

First, during your senior year, complete the FAFSA form in January, early February, or by the earliest financial aid deadline (of the ones you applied for admission) financial aid deadline. Even if you think your family makes too much money to receive it, still complete the form. It is based on a percentage income formula of your parents' income and savings along with your income and savings, and then, it takes into consideration your family size (including how many will be attending college at the same time. You could receive the Pell Grant (depending on the EFC score), work study program (cash), scholarships from the endowment fund, and federal student loans (best interest rates). This needs to be completed each year from your senior year of high school until you graduate from college.

Second, keep your grades up because your state might have a grant or scholarship program for those who have a certain GPA for their college education which is not need based in most cases. Your high school guidance office should have more information on this.

Fourth, if your dad belongs to a truck driver's union, either you or your father call the union offices. A number of different unions have college scholarship programs for their union members or their children.

Finally, your high school guidance office has a list of local scholarships that you could apply for consideration. These typically are the easiest to get compared to the national scholarship programs.

Good luck!

Does your mom (or whoever the truck driver is) belong to a Union? Many unions have scholarship programs. Does this person haul for one company or many? Try contacting the companies individually about scholarships. I don't know what state you are in, here in California there are Cal-Grants available, you might check in your state.

Good luck!
