I've got most of my background in retail management with a one year stint teaching computers at a vocational tech college. I want to teach university level, but I'm getting a very late start (I'm 34), and I'm not sure a PhD is in my future. I should have my B.A. in English by Summer 2008 and plan to work on my masters (in what exactly, I'm not sure) after that. I was thinking of teaching high school or even community college, but I'm not sure teaching is my long-term vocational calling. I think educational administration might be more up my alley, combining education with my management experience. I can move anywhere in the U.S. ONCE - we are open to where, but I don't want to haul my kids around a bunch of different places. I'm wondering where I'll find the best job market, and what educational path to take to get there. Thanks!

The presentation needs to be setup like an advertisement, and it needs to be on something Viking (no not the team, REAL vikings) related I.E. Viking swords, Viking armor, or something to that effect. The presentation does not have to be long at all, around 45 seconds will do!

My first attempt of the SATs was horrible; I got a low score. Though, I do get good grades in school I have a 4.3 GPA (not trying to brag, I'm just trying to prove a point). Is this normal for a first time?

I have actually improved a lot since then. The math and writing sections (grammar and mechanics) do not seem that difficult anymore. I still need to improve on thinking more quickly to fit the time limit, analyzing the critical reading section more effectively, not making careless mistakes and brainstorming on the essay. Any tips? I know one of the keys is to think logically and critically. Is the Guide Paradise as helpful as some have said it to be? I really want to get a good score. I believe I can do it. I believe anything is possible; I did improve on my scores tremendously.

I'm seeking a recommendation from one my professor for an outstanding opportunity in our programs national organization. I'm already in the university program organization (which he approved).

I've been in contact with the national people and they are excited I want to join aboard. BUT problem is I need a recommendation from my professor/advisor and that person won't be with the university in a couple of months. New job opportunity so you can imagine how crazy that is.

I'm actually scared to ask him because someone asked him in class (innappropriate IMO) if she could get one but he didn't say anything. I don't know if that means he's just not doing any or what. Any ideas because he's the only one I can get one from ATM. If I don't get one from him I have to wait until next April. Plus he's really busy.

I REALLY REALLY want to do this and it will put me in networking with big top people and other top students. Opporunities will open
