Although my son will probably major in a technical field, such as engineering, we are also looking for a strong music school. In our neighborhood, there seems to be a rivalry among the MSU music grads and the CMU music grads. Are these the best schools for music? Why such a rivalry?

What are my son's chances? What should be covered in personal statement? Help, please!

SAT I = 1940 (retake Oct-07)
SAT II = 710 Math II, 780 French
GPA = 3.8, grades improving, 1st time honor roll junior yr-2nd sem
School = SF full IB diploma program; taking HL Math, Chem, Physics, French
Athletics = lettered in soccer + coach’s award; track (most improved); cross-country
Community Service = three years of one week/summer to build homes in Tijuana with no power tools; six weeks tutoring at UC Berkeley Pre-Engineering Partnership at the Center for Underrepresented Engineering Students
Misc = months spent in France (educational and personal trips) and recent school trip to India; certified scuba diver, national karate champion (4 gold and 2 bronze AAU medals at 9 yrs old); 2nd place Adult Intermediate Bay Area Dictée Competition;
College Major = possibly math, chemistry, physics (but probably not engineering). Maybe Air Force ROTC with goal of becoming a pilot.

I was put into a class - the wrong class - in mathematics and now I have to go through things at the level below my colleages are at.

I am 15 and I KNOW I still have a chance of doing Higher Mathemmatics but why am I so depressed? Low self-esteem? I am in a classfull of kids who make noises even though I got a A in physics in my fourth year they STILL won't let me go there.

MInd you I DO plan on staying in school for the whole of the duration.

How can I work on through. It is concentrically annoying...I feel like I am the brainiest one in class...I probably am...

How I shut up and see positive thoughts and not negative ridiculing ones?

I'm going to be a junior in high school in about a week from now. Anyways, I've been signed up for about 5 Ap classes. Throughout the end of the year, I want to pass all of these tests ( Of course I am aiming for 5's on each, but I want to pass them all ).
Now don't say this is impossible, because I'm sure it can be done. Anyhow, how do I go about being equally prepared and all to go about passing each one of these classes and tests...

(While still having time to do my daily sports/exercise).

I know it can be done, but any tips would be great.

what is the alternative term for
" the wisest person in your life " OR
The person you do your best to act like AND/OR to have his aspects/charctaristics

In a sense , there's a word that describes this figure , For instant , when I want to ask you this , instead of saying :
" who is the person you would like to be / would like to behave like ? "

You can say " who is your .................. "
