Education & Reference - 17 August 2007

I just got accepted to my college of choice but I really wanted to go to the upper division. I only showed them my 2nd transcript which is from my community college where I did well but not that great and it was more than enough to enroll me in. However, I didnt show them my 1st transcript because it took awhile for it to arrive through the mail since it was from the other state. Thats where I previously attended my 1st college there. THen again, I didnt want to show them the transcript since I did so poorly there and as a result my GPA dropped under 2.0. for three quarters straigh. Now the question is, once they have found out about the 1st transcript, how do you think my current college of choice will react to it? Here is more instances of what Im trying to explain...Will they still permit the trasnferring of my earned credits from the 1st college despite the bad grades? Or not show them the first transcript altogether? I want want that earned credits transferred!

I know that 9 hours for getting a master's is considered full time (as opposed to 12 hours for undergrad) but I also know that taking 15 hours of undergrad is common. My advisers always told me to expect 3 hours of study per week for every hour of class taken; so if you were registered for 12 hours, expect to have 48 hours of your life a week taken up by school (12 hours of class +(12*3 hours of study)).

What would be the rule with grad school? If I were to take 6 hours of grad school a semester (master's, not PhD) how much time would that normally take? 9 hours? Etc.

I'm extremely good at Economics, I just got my AP scores back and got a 5 in both Macro and Micro. I've actually have came up with formulas before I was taught them, however, my teacher told me that my formulas were just "overly complicated" formulas of the ones that already existed. Economics and business just makes perfect sense to me, even when I'm taught at an unuasually fast pace. Nonetheless, I think I can make a bigger difference doing something in the medical field, & although I'm not extremely talented in the science fields: AP score of 3 on chemistry and 4 on Biology, I still feel that I can succeed & that I will enjoy the work. All this asside, I still can't help but feel that economics is playing a factor in my decision: America's largest industry is the health care industry, so job stability and above average salaries are pretty secure. However, with a degree in Econ, I don't know what or for who I can work for that can secure me a job of similar perks of the medical field

This year I received a total of 10,800 between financial aid, pell grant and federal loan...I am not resident of the state I am attending University, my question is:

Next year when I apply again will they give the same amount? Or will they consider that I will be a resident and deduct some amount because I will have to pay less because of my resident status?

I am a Computer Science student and going to finish my course in May 2008. The fact is I want to go for a MBA Degree instead of a job right after.

I am from India, and very much admant about going abroad for higher education. It's just a dream of mine. Well the problem is I will be a complete fresher with no work experiance, with only 15 years of education. Now if I want to apply for UK or US universities they would demand for a work experiance of at least 2 years to do a MBA. US universities demands for 16 years of formal education.

Someone told me that there are some Universities in US which do accept freshers into MBA but I have no idea which ones. Can anyone help me out with something. I am in a great crisis of proper information. I have heard about TOEFL, IELTS, GRE and GMAT etc, but can't make a path out of it. My first choice is US.

I am confused and unable to figure out anything proper. Please do help me. I would be glad to have your suggestions.
