I am just curious as to what others think? I believe that being able to follow directions, pay attention for reasonable time periods, cooperating with others, and a problem solving attitude are the most important things we can encourage in our children rather than teaching them abc's and 123's before they go to school. What do you think?

I have to write a compare and contrast paper 6-10 pages over two different plays of shakespeare. I can compare and contrast anything in the plays but i dont know what to pick. I am for sure i am going to use the play Hamlet because i know it well. I just dont know what other play i should use or what to compare and contrast. If u have any ideas i would appreciate it. What is the method? Both my daughter and I learned to read phonetically. My education degree is outdated. My grandson is learning some other way and having difficulty in the first grade. It is not because his parents don't care or don't work with him. They are doing a lot and it is not helping.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I taught elementary school only two years and got married. I have not used my degree very much since. I was an art volunteer for two years in my children's schools. I am bad out of touch with the current methods of reading specialties.

Okay on Wikipedia it says that Lincoln turned down being Senator in 1854, so that he can keep the new party balanced and so he gives the position to Lyman Trumbull, an ex-Democrat.. Well, then right after it, it says that Lincoln and Douglas are candidates for being senator in 1857-58 and Douglas wins.. Does this sound correct, because I'm soo confused.. how long does the position last of being Senator? Oh and what year was he campaigning for Presidency? And who was he running against? Please help!- I'm writing a report over his whole life and so far it's 6 pages long!- HELP.. thanks

I have way much homework, atleast 4-5 hours worth of that. When it is Spring Break, they gave me 10 pages of homework, its called a VACATION for a reason. It really messed up my brain, I'm more tense to fo that many homework. Like half of the homework is pointless. I don't even have time to go out anymore. Why can't teachers gave us a break for once, please my life is already hard enoungh to do homework, I'm only in 8th grade.

I always thought that if you said something was "not necessary", it meant that it wasnt required, but there was no problem with the fact that you did it anyway. But when you say something is "unneccesary" that implies that you should not do it at all. Am i correct?
