1. A
2. A

The same reasoning is used for both instances. You have a subject, followed by a linking verb, followed by a pronoun. What follows a linking verb has to rename or describe the subject. If what follows the linking verb is a pronoun, then obviously it is renaming the subject. Since it is renaming the subject, the pronoun has to be in the subjective case form (the form you would use for a subject). "I" and "she" are the correct subjective case forms.

Additional comment on the previous answers: your question is which is correct. Neither of the correct sentences is "awkward." There are several ways to say the same thing depending on your taste. For example: "It is I to whom you owe your allegiance!" "You owe me your allegiance!" To some ears the first might sound "awkward"; to others it sounds more elegant, maybe more commanding. But stylistic choice shouldn't be confused with grammar.

One of the answerers says "neither one" to one of your questions, and another says that to both. Then they go on to rewrite the sentence using the correct pronoun case form. Again, style shouldn't be confused with grammar.
