Teacher loan forgiveness programs exist in one of two situations, but the student loans must not be consolidated to be allowed into the program. The first is for a specific geographic region such as an urban city or poor area. The other is for specific teaching areas such as mathematics, science, and special education. Some states do have teacher forgiveness programs, so I recommend checking with your state. In exchange for participating in this, you must work for a certain amount of period of years.
