I just got my letter back over the weekend from Rollins College, my first choice (well, actually, I didn't get into Loyola Marymount University, so now Rollins is my first choice :P), and the letter says that last year about 1/2 the students who were on the wait list were offered admission. What can I do to really increase my chances of getting in? If I'm accepted then I definitely plan to enroll.

I'm still in high school and plan on staying in high school...I wish there were cosmetology classes at night or something. Because I really want to learn from a teacher how to do make up to PERFECTION and the art of doing make up? Is there anyway I could do that without waiting until I'm done high school and becoming a full time cosmetology student?

I would love for anyone out there to be able to give me some help for my son he is 14 years old and is suffering from social withdrawal so badly that he hasnt been to school, or anywhere else for that matter in 16 months, he also has ocd and selective mutism.had lots of pros dealing with himbut nothing works.HELP!!! got any ideas to get him out of this rut he is in.

I go to beauty school, but the school is horrable! Some impliments arn't properly sanitized, the teachers are horrible and are very disorganized, as well as like whoever they want to like, and befriend whoever they want to befriend. The students are ignorant - seriously, and give customers on the floor attitudes, steal from other students, fight (verbally and physically), and the owner of the place never even comes around! Does anyone know where can I report this school?! It's disgusting!

I am doing My minor in Marketing..
I think doing a MBA would make the most sense, However I am very bad at Math's.
Since I am interested in Advertising and PR, I was thinking if it would be best to do a Masters in that instead, However there is a major sallery difference right - please help...

I'm wokring on my Post Bac application and I'm at my essay part. One of the essays asks me to
"Discuss your expectations of the program and what you will contribute to it. Explain any weakness in your academic record and what areas you would like assistance in improving. Discuss why you are interested in working in underserved communities"
I expect to further my knowledge in the sciences so I'm better prepared for medical school. What do they mean "contribute" to it? I'm interested in working in underserved communities because I believe everyone deserves a chance at a good medical care and I'm real into charity.
Are these reasons good enough?

I got a letter in the mail today describing my financial aid that my school will give me. I guess i will need to take out some loans since I do not have the money to pay for it, but all of the loans they provide (Stafford, Student PLUS etc) all have extremely high interest rates 7-8.5%. Is this normal? Is there any other decent place where I can borrow money for a lot cheaper??

Also, should I take the loan out in my name, or my parents name? My parents will contribute less than $3000 to my education, and I will have to pay the majority of it.
