What do you mean by macs? Mac Computers? My Automatec Car Service?

Well, i believe Macs are more user friendly and therefore better for younger students. They are very simple to use. That's why Windows is starting to make their user interface look more and more like Macs. And like someone else said, the support is GREAT. If there is a problem with a PC, you don't know if you should call the company that made the computer, the company that made the software program, Microsoft to find out if there is a bug on Windows that makes it difficult for Windows to work with this particular program and if you have to download a patch or somethng.

With Mac, other than the software. Everything is Mac: The operating system, the computer, the internet connection software, etc. When I worked for a newspaper and we changed all of our computer over to Mac, they send out a guy who worked with us for a week to teach us how to use it. Very helpful.

I've been a Mac guy ever since.

It starts with the lack of virus and malware written for Macs. They just don't have a lot of problems with those things. I have had Macs for 20 years and NEVER had a virus.

The second issue is that Macs stand up better over time. Their hardware has fewer problems because they don't use off the shelf hardware made by the lowest bidder. Things like power supplies and motherboards don't have the failure history of Windows computers.

The third issue is ease of use. Training people to use Macs, supporting them, securing them, and working with kids who use them is all much easier than Windows. You don't have to go to tech school to use a Mac.

A forth issue is coolness. The kids respond better to the maker of iTunes, iPods, and the very cool Macs than they do the Big Brother computers with Windows.

Good luck. You are helping the school district save tons of money over time. They just don't know that yet.

Talk about some points as to why they are better, i.e. functionality, user-interface, technology, etc. Tell them it will make for better students, and a better reputation for the school.

Off topic, but why do people answer questions with "no idea" or "what are you talking about?" it's pointless and seriously annoying.
