We recently just received a new principal at my high school and I am writing him an email asking to repeat my senior year. I am currently doing a foreign exchange during my senior year, but I won't feel satisfied in life if I don't graduate from my high school. I have talked to my high school counselor and she said that there could be a problem because of a state law in Utah. I have written an email but have not sent it and would appreciate any tips or advise that you have to offer. Also if you have any suggestions as to what to write in the 'subject' area of the email that would be great too. Thanks for your help.

Feel free to reply back here or you can reply to my email:

With regards to all the teachers who feel that a disruptive child should not be taught.....

Ask yourself this do you do a vocation?

Does a nurse do a vocation?

What if a nurse turned around and said that she/he would not help someone who self harmed?

Should a teacher be able to turnaround and say they will not teach someone who dosn't want to be teached?

In context, this word seems like a colloquialism which I am mispelling and not "a two-wheeled, self-balancing transportation device."

People oftentimes say, "that idea is a perfect 'segway' for my next topic of discussion," or "that (what you just said) provides the perfect segway into my next topic." Am I spelling it correctly, what does it mean, and where did it come from?

The context seems to indicate that it is meant as a colloquialism and to give it a very general meaning of positive, transitional, leading qualities. What is the real word/colloquialism, and how did it come to be so popular in our dialog.

I recall starting drum lessons around 3rd grade, but I'm wondering if we can/should try to start our sons into music earlier than that. I don't want to push them into anything, but I think they'd enjoy it and I think there are a lot of benefits to music education (I know I got a lot out of it).

It is impossible to govern the world without God and the Bible.
GEORGE WASHINGTON

The whole inspiration of our civilization springs from the teachings of Christ and the lessons of the prophets. To read the Bible for these fundamentals is a necessity of American life.
HERBERT HOOVER

In regard to this great book, I have but to say, it is the best gift God has given to man. All the good Savior gave to the world was communicated through this book. But for it we could not know right from wrong. All things most desirable for man's welfare, here and hereafter, are to found portrayed in it.
ABRAHAM LINCOLN

Hold fast to the Bible as the sheet-anchor of your liberties; write its precepts in your hearts and practice them in your lives. To the influence of this book we are indebted for all the progress made in true civilization, and to this we must look as our guide in the future. Righteousness exalteth a nation; but sin is a reproach to any people.
