What should I look for in a college? Are there any questions I should ask?

I have a friend
who is turning gray,
not just her hair,
and I do not know
why this is so.

Is it a lack of vitamin E
pantothenic acid, or B-12?
Or is it from being frantic
and alone?

'How long does it take you to love someone?'
I ask her.
'A hot second,' she replies.
'And how long do you love them?'
'Oh, anywhere up to several months.'
'And how long does it take you
to get over loving them?'
'Three weeks,' she said, 'tops.'

Did I mention I am also
turning gray?
It is because I *adore* this woman
who thinks of love
in this way.

Alright well, first off, I have to make a persuasive speech (obviously) the thing is, I'm having a hard time on choosing a topic.

I want it to be interesting, something that I can easily talk about for seven minutes. I'm not too keen on overused topics such as abortion, adoption, death penalty etc. I want something that will be different from what my other classmates might do. There will be one minute extra for the class to ask questions about my topic, so the topic I will choose will have to be something that provides enough information.

I tried going through things and thought about:
-Anorexia: weight loss is a symptom, not a cause.
-Loch Ness Monster: does it really exist?
-Divorce: is it really worth putting a child through?
-Public figures, Private lives: has the press gone too far?

If you think that one of the topics mentioned above is good enough, please tell me. If not, feel free to suggest other topics.

My daughter is in first grade at the Kids Connection in Foster City. Tuition is low however, there are 20 kids per teacher and it is an excelerated program. Kids as well as the teachers are stressed out. We want out. I am looking for a school that also has high academic expectation but a lower student/teacher ratio. Anywhere in San Mateo County and parts of Santa Clara County would do. Will appreciate your recommendation.

I'm a freshman sec.ed./history major and I'm starting to look at the outlook of positions for my focus subject. I'd love to stay in the mid-atlantic region close to my folks though, like NY, PA, MD, OH, VA, DE, NJ and maybe WV. If there are any other really good places let me know with maybe a website link to the outlook site for the state. My question is mostly concerned with factors such as salary, benefits, environment, tuition rembursemesnt, etc. I'd really appreciate any and all advice from those who have already suffered through this.

my parents cant afford 3 people going to college, paying the house and all the bills is hard enough.... BUT they want me to have an education ....

Im in junior high straight A student

always getting good remarks from teachers

and do a lot of clubs.

i volunteer at a church and get community service hours

They are the most expensive piece of furniture in our life...and could be re-used, many many times.

We re-use forks, after washing them. We re-use sox, after laundering them. Why not slip the corpse into a bag and then re-use the casket?

I haven't spoken to a recruiter yet, but what I'd like to do is work as a paralegal with the J.A.G. for 4-6 years. Afterwards, I plan to attend the University of Tennessee majoring in pre-law, work hard, and hopefully attend law school at Vanderbilt. My aunt is alumni so if I work hard, I could get in. If I can't however, I would attend law school at UT. I'm capable of this, I consider myself an intelligent person, but I've made mistakes in highschool. My father died my soph. year and it caused me to lose focus and I let my grades drop dramatically. My GPA is about a 2.5 at this point. My ACT is not a problem but I know a good GPA is very important also. I'm motivated now and I'll do what it takes, but is it too late to reach my goals? My thinking is that while enlisted in the navy I'll be able to pick up college credits, (like attending community college) then, with a good ACT score, I can get into UT. I'll have discipline, and experience in law so I will excell in college. Plausible?

I've got this assignment for Uni where I have to use a report format to complete it. Now I know for a report format you need a title, table of contents, Introduction, headings throughout, conclusion,etc... But the problem is I don't know what to write for each heading, I mean like for an executive summary you would have to include what's the whole purpose of the assignment and so on.... so I just wanna know what to write for the other headings, for instance, the introduction.
