Doesn't anyone here enjoy limericks? Limericks are five line poems where the 1st, 2nd & 5th lines rhyme and the 3rd & 4th lines rhyme. Usually they have a touch of humor.

Ex: 1.
There was an Old Man with a beard,
Who said, 'It is just as I feared!
Two Owls and a Hen,
Four Larks and a Wren,
Have all built their nests in my beard!'

Ex: 2.
A flea and a fly in a flue
Were caught, so what could they do?
Said the fly, "Let us flee."
"Let us fly," said the flea.
So they flew through a flaw in the flue.

Ex: 3.
I'll tell you what you have in store,
A dozen of tips and much more,

I am thinking about taking MicroMash. Has anyone taken it, and can someone please give me an opinion on it? Also, I am considering to take Barbri if the opinon of MicroMash is not good. Only reason why I am thinking about taking MicroMash is that it is whole lot cheaper than the Barbri course, which is about $2,000.

I ended up accidently checking the exempt status on my tax information for work (I didn't know what it was, it was my first job), so they didn't take out any federal tax for the year. I owe $460, my question is, I know with applying for financial aid for college you need to file your taxes for the year first. Could I still be given financial aid even though I owe on my taxes?

Live in California, I'm 21, haven't lived at home since I was 18, my father was a vetren, and my mother is disabled.

When typing a sentence and parentheses are required within already present parentheses, what do I do? Do I use parentheses WITHIN the parentheses or do the outside parentheses turn to brackets?


Example:

E. Importance of the retina in the eye (what the pigment (eye color) in the iris is protecting)



So, do the parentheses containing the phrase beginning with "what the pigment" turn into brackets, or what?

I need help with Shakespeare. Does anybody have an English degree. I have to write a huge essay on Romeo and Juliet. All I ask that each of you guys give me a sentence. Even though I have to write a huge essay, you guys can give me a start.

The essay is on how their words, actions, and sacrifices prove throughout the story that they love each other.

hiall, i have a ques here goes... well im new to college and of course i know the transition from highschool varies from easy to hard. My problem is that i was an a-b student in highschool, and now that im in college i do fairly well on my exams its just the writing of the essays that kills me. i was always called a good writer. have my skills gone out the window? the questions are very diffrent than what im used to answering in highschool. does anyone have any pointers on how to write good essays during exams? or how can i develope my critical thinking skills? thankyou

When the interviewer smiles at you politely and tells you that they'll let you know in a couple of weeks about the results, would that suggest i didnt get the place?

He said that i "did well for someone who's never been interviewed before" - but i keep thinking that what he really meant was i done ok for someone who hasnt been interviewed before but not someone for this course.

Im saying this because, when people go for job interviews and they say "we'll get back to you", they usually dont get back at all - and im starting to think maybe this Uni interview was like that!

Plus, i was chatting to some other people during my time at the Uni and some of them really had impressive things to say about the teaching course and why they want to do it - i only had basic reasons....

So, do you reckon its a polite way of rejecting?
