All of my life I've excelled in English, my teachers have called my writing beyond my age/level, and I loved to read and appreciate the beauty in art and literature. Now I'm in the 8th grade and have quite a mean English teacher, who calls my writing under-par and generally dislikes me, and did not reccomend me for Honors english next yr. I was very angry. I find I don't like to read as much anymore, and because of that I'm not really writing beyond my level anymore. On the other hand, I have a great Math teacher who encourages me. All my life I've been weak in math. This year I'm practically positive I got a perfect score on one of the parts and maybe 1 or 2 wrong on the other parts, and I usually do well in it, altho sometimes I freeze up on tests causing me to get C's or B's. Should I work on my English or Math skills more? This year I'm enjoying math a lot more then English but my talents lie in English. What should I do??

People are getting more dumber and dumber these days. They can't even spell simple words like "banned" right. They spelled it "band". Isn't that so stupid? What happened to the good old English we all used to have? What happened to everyone?

Some people can't even spell "fun" correctly. They can't even spell "hero", "said", and "a lot" correctly.

People are getting stupider and stupider day by day. Grammar is also getting down! What in the world is happening?

In the first category the newly registered nurses indicated to the role and responsibility changes from student to registered nurse. Also indicated to the volume of work, which makes it impossible to apply theory to practice and provide the high standard of care that taught in the college. Furthermore the newly registered nurses highlighted that they did not have enough clinical skills because the content of their training included too much emphasis on professional theory and not enough on care in practice. Despite of their needs for support with clinical skills, staff shortage and pressure of time caused insufficient learning in the work place. Learning the system was another factor that caused stress for newly registered nurses. Unfamiliarity with the structure and geography of the organisation prescribed as a stressful and tiring experience. In addition the registered nurses expressed their struggle with organising their time and priorities. The third category is developing clinical judgement; here the nurses expressed their uncomfortable feeling with decision-making and care plan implementation. The Newly qualified nurses said that they have the knowledge but do not have the experience and confidence to make decision and implement care plan. For the same reason (Luker et al (1996 cited by Charnley 1999) recommended longer practical placement for student nurses. The final category is professional relationships; in this category the newly registered nurses expressed their anxiety regarding working with untrained staff. They stated that they are responsible for their own action as well as the health care assistants practice (Charnley 1999).

There is this quote that I read somewhere recently but I cannot find it again & I liked it. It was something about "so & so kind of people talk about this & so & so people talk about events & so & so kind of people talk about people." I know that's not a lot to go on but I thought maybe I received it in a forward or something & someone might remember what I'm talking about. Thanks!

my topic is Funny Movie Stars and the Things They Say.
i have no idea how i can give a successful presentation.
if i look up quotes that a movie star has said, and say "this star once said this, blah blah." it seems like no one will enjoy it. and what if the class thinks the quote isn't funny?
the presentation has to be at least 1 minute long. (which is awesome)

can anyone give me any ideas on how i can give a presentation on this topic?
