i go to boces not my district school. i am still allowed to attend thing like prom. i am going to distrct next year and thats when senior banquet is. i dont know a lot of people from my district but my best friend who goes to district lives up the block. she really wants me to go to prom and says its ur prom u shouldnt miss it. she has a date so i know i couldnt surround her all night. she offered to get me one and i may take her up on it. but now that im thinking i know i am nerous if i go because i am no way near normal (or what normal is to me) . i am so different and its not in all good ways. if i go i am afraid i will feel awkward and lonely and embarrased. i dont now what to do. and plus i am afraid it will be hard for my parents financially even tho it probably wnt because we are preety good financially ( i just happen to hate asing for expensive things cause i feel bad).

no boces doesnt offer any extra-cirricular or regular high school events besides the classes and stuff

if i were you i would go. when you go to prom its not liek you have to be with your date all night. most girls go so they can hang out with eachother and let the boys hang out. and let your friend find a date for you. if she is a good friend then she will probably pick a great date for you. last year i went to date with a guy....to tell ya the truth i didnt even hang out with him. we danced and went to a after party, but all the girls kind of grouped up. you will not feel lonely at a prom. there are probably guys that go just like you and feel the same way.... but you will end up having a great time. you need to relax and have fun there. just party and have a great time. dont let anybody make you feel like dirt at prom. have fun and go to your prom. i guarantee you will have the best time!

Does BOCES offer a prom? If so maybe try going to it. I know if I didnt attend my school I too would feel a bit out of place going to Sr prom and not really knowing too many people.

Well if she gets u a date the 4 of u will probably be hanging out all night. Go and have fun and be outgoing and you'll be fine. Your sweet for not wanting to ask your parents for expensive things - I hope my kids are like that when they get older - cause they ask for everything they see now :)

Go to prom. Enjoy yourself. But if you decide to go with a date, go with someone you know. Or don't know. It's YOUR choice.
