I know this may sound stupid, but since I'm new here in the U.S., I've been trying my best to pick up more English. Now I need to know how to use "now that" or "once" to make up sentences with the proper tenses. Since my garammar's so poor, you'd better give me some examples. Thanks very much.

I'm in community college right now. If I want to transfer to a university after I complete 2 years at my community college there are two routes which one can take. You can either get an A.A. (associate in arts) and transfer or an A.S. (associate in science) and transfer. It seems obvious that if I want to pursue a science major such as biology or physics, I should complete the 2 years with an A.S. degree. But is it necessary? I'm asking because what if I get an A.S. with an emphasis on engineering, but when I get into university, I decide to change direction towards a biology degree? Does it really matter what specific A.S. degree I graduate with or is it that as long as I get an A.S. degree in something, I can choose whichever path I desire once i'm in university?

I'm a fairly good student in all subjects...except math and physics. I have a 91.3% average (4.0 GPA) and that's with trying ** extremely ** hard in Math, but only ending up with a 73% in it.

I dropped physics. It was way too much for me to handle.

Anyway, what career paths would you suggest for someone who wants to stay FAR away from math and science?

Hi Guys....
I need help deciding on whether or not to take honors english.
Next year I'm planning on taking:
1. Trig
2. US History
3. AP Bio
4. Honors Spanish
5. Anatomy & Physiology
6. English (honors??)

I e-mailed the teacher and this is what he said:

Reading requirements are heavy, especially 2nd semester. We do no worksheets or other activities that students sometimes call "busy work"; everything is an authentic evaluation, no automatic points for "just doing the work." There are about 6-7 formal essays in response to literature. Tests occur seldom, about every 6 weeks. Good notetaking and study are critical. There are 2 projects and two speeches.

Anyways your opinions would be great...and if you've taken it tell me what you thought : ]
Thanks

I heard many people talking about how because the SAT writing is graded subjectively, colleges don't look into your writing score as closely as they do for your reading and your math score. Is this rumor or truth for schools like UCLA or Berkeley? Nevertheless, what are the chances of me getting into one of these schools

2140 SAT- 700 Reading, 710 writing, 730 math
4.2 (more or less?) GPA weighted
6 AP classes (7 semesters so far completed, planning on completing 10 APs)
50-60 hours community service
10+years experience piano
Mock Trial
