I have a huge, embarrassing problem that I havent told anybody because its just so unbelievably pathetic and shameful. Im a first year at uni doing psychology, started in october 06 and i hardly EVER attend lectures.Combination of reasons-going in makes me panic big time,i hate it and although miraculously im keeping on top of work,I only go in wen i have to.I have this thing where i cant leave the house till after about 2pm.Its like im afraid of leaving the house early.Driving me mad.Im not liking uni and i dread going in when i do (about once a week).Im scared, worried and confused. Hope im not the only one like this!Dont know why i cant just get myself into lectures but the thought of going in everyday is daunting. How do i start getting myself to lectures and enjoying them too!Help me out, any advice or comments are welcomed!Need to know why im like this, i feel like a bat.

Crime is a serious issue; it is talked about in the press, on the job, at the kitchen table.

My 5 year old son has got a ‘Science Fair’ day. He has been asked to make something which has at least TWO moving parts. I failed my CDT (Craft, Design and Technology) GCSE at school with style. I need ideas but you must bare in mind that it is not simply to name something to make but how do you make it, and with which materials?

i recently got a B&C for sociology E for English,E for geography, this is just part of my AS level and my parents are disappointed in me and telling me i can do better but i know that i tried my hardest and for the geography i had to teach myself it because the teacher never showed up for the lessons so i thought an E was pretty good, however my parents don't and they think i can do better but i know that their expectations are to high and that im not as smart as they want me to be but if i try to tell them that they just say im being lazy and want to have my way paid for me for the rest of my life, but i dont and i AM trying. i really am.

I work for a company called Westminster Explained, providing Parliamentary Training for Civil Servants. We provide several certificated courses and I am looking into how to qualify for CATS points for some of these courses, to make them more valuable for delegates and more easy to sell. CATS (Credit Accumulation and Transfer Scheme) works as a cross-institutional academic points system, and I want to find out what requirements we need to offer these on our courses, how to get accreditation, and any general information surrounding these issues. Any advice would be very gratefully received, as I'm fairly new here and don't want to let the boss down!
