I want to go to a great school (Reed, Bard, Swarthmore, etc.), but at the end of my senior year I'm only going to have 3-4 honors/ap courses. Do you think this will hurt me?

I'm a sophomore this year and I took World History and Chemistry. I took two practice tests (w/out any studying) and I got a 400 on the World History, and a 450 on the Chemistry. Those definitely aren't the scores I was hoping for.

If any of you have taken either test, how do you recommend I study?
Or do you think I should just take different ones next year?

I have pretty good grades(mostlyA-someB) but it seems like everyone around me are getting 100 averages and stuff! Is that normal, will I be able to get into a good college? I don't know what i want to be. I thought about engineering (working with grades of asphalt and dirt) because of my dads company but i am not sure if i would be able to do all of the math. I'm taking the ACT in April. I took a practice test and got a 26 on it. I'm aiming for a 30. How should I prepare? I have the Princeton Review book, but I want other sources.Thanks

Also, do you think 30 is reasonable? I don't want to reach for a score that's impossible.
