It was freezing outside. I couldn’t feel my feet anymore. I started walking toward my house. The road was as silent as a cementary. Then I heard footsteps behind me. I looked back and saw no one. Can some provide me a brief explanation what this quote means in the Great Gatsby in Chapter 5:

“Compared to the great distance that had separated him from Daisy is had seemed very near to her almost touching her. It had seemed as close as a star to the moon. In this scene Gatsby meets Daisy for the first time.... I have to find what is symbolic about this scene.

due to the recent wave of auto accidents involving teens in your town, the town council is reviewing several ordinances designed to increase safety in the town. One measure would ban anyone under the age of 18 from driving in the dark. Many of the accidnets were at night so the council belvies that this bill wil help decrease the no of accidents . Some people however belives that the measure will not be effective and htat it discriminates against teen drivers

i have a BBA from a small low tier school. when i was there, i sent in an application to transfer to one of the most prestigious universities in the world and i was accepted but i didnt go because , well i guess i hated to lose most of the credits i already had. now that im out, i wished i did that transfer...

could i reapply to that university and get a BA now? if i already have a college degree?


i know it would take 4 years, but hey i have the time.

I got caught cheating on a quiz in biology 12. I had some notes on a piece of paper and my teacher caught me, my teacher said i will no longer be considered for any scholarships or awards and my parents will be informed with a formal letter. He also said I would be expelled from the school if anything like this happened agian. I also had to fill out a form of what I did and it was given to the administration and principal, I know in the past other students would be taken to the office and had to speak to the principal. Their parents were sometimes called by phone to come in as well, but no one ever got a letter. I never saw the principal. What will happen to me and will I have to see the principal? Will my parents be called? Will the formal letter be mailed to my house or will they have to go to the school to pick it up? I regret doing this, it was only worth 5 marks, and I could have done the quiz without cheating.

I am having a debate with my husband about grammar. An example sentance is " My pet is used to children" or is it " My pet is used of children" ?
