can anyone check if i got these correct?: I was supposed to say if it was an independent or dependent clause.

1) Banks pay interest on the money that customers loan them. (independent)

2) John has had saving accounts since she was six years old. (independent)

3) Other banks young banks charge fees on accounts that have only a few hundred dollars in them. (independent)

4) Some banks encourage saving accounts for young people. (independent)

DID I GET THEM CORRECT?

Check this website, which has the definitions and examples for independent and dependent clauses. It may help- http://owl.english.purdue.edu/handouts/grammar/g_clause.html

none of them are either... they all have an independant clause AND a dependant clause

EX: for the first one... the independant clause is Banks pay interest on money... the dependant is that customers loan them

(i will say the dependant clause because its easier:... just infer the independant clause [its everything else])

2.Since he was 6 years old
3. young banks (is dependant and...) that have only... in them
4. for young people

They are all independent clauses, but check your pronoun in #2.
