I have started writing my very first DBQ (Document Based Essay) and I'm in need of some critique of my introduction, but mainly my overly descriptive thesis. How can I shorten it/ make it more clear? or is it fine on its own? and lastly do I accurately address the questions asked?
Here is the essay question:
- Analyze the arguments for and against the restrictions of the sale of gin in 18th century England, and assess the degree to which the issues of the debate were reflected in the follwing excerpt of the Gin Act of 1751.

My daughter attends a child development center on campus of the junior college I attend. The quality of care and the teachers is excellent, but I'm not sure what she should be doing education-wise at this age. The center utilizes the High/Scope curriculum, which from what I have learned, is child-directed. Does this mean the teachers do not lead lessons on basic things like numbers and letters? Obvioulsy, I will talk to the teachers at her center...I'm mainly curious what she is capapble of learning at this age?

okay so this year i am taking algebra 1 the whole thing and my teacher for that class doesnt know how to teach!
i got a bad grade on my report card cause of that class!
im not learning anything and sols are coming up and i dont want to fail!
