First of all, from my experience with Science Fair, you should have had at least 2 months. You should have been working on your project in those two months, and don't give the excuse of too much homework or why else would you be online right now instead of working on it right away?
And from my experience, our teachers usually tell us to pick an idea by the first month and use the second month for experimentation.
Basically, you're doomed.
You have to keep a research log that is dated (well, I did), a board with your
*Problem
*Hypothesis
*Conclusion
*Materials
*Procedures
*Pictures of your experimentation, but no pictures of humans unless you have a specific form
*Abstract
An abstract can be printed on www.sciserv.org
Sciserv will probably tell you the basics too.
And then there's the matter of the experiment if you haven't chosen yet. Typing "Science Fair Experiments" on google wouldn't really help you by the way, it takes so long to find an idea.
Make sure your idea is doing "Quantative Measurement" not "Qualitative Measurement". That means what your testing can be measured in units, not just in your opinion.
My suggestion would be to choose either a physics or mathamatics project to make it faster. You can probably do the trials in 1-4 hours. Remember, it is advised you have over 50 trials. Then make up dates for things, or be truthful and put the real dates. Being truthful might get your teacher mad, but it keeps your data from being biased.
But before all this, you should do the forms for your experiment also found at Sciserv.
So basically.
1. Fill out forms.
2. Do abstract
3. Do experimentation
4. Record everything that occurs during experimentation in your science fair notebook.
5. Make the board.
If you have any more questions, e-mail me, but I suggest that you start working on it ASAP.

If it is a major grade don't you think its a little late to be starting now? This is one of those life lessons best learned on your own. You succeed based on your best efforts and your responsible for your failures as well.
