I just realised why I don't know what it is... I don't live in the US. DAM! And It ain't nice to tell a kid to get with the program! Boo hooooo. I am only allowed on the computer once a week for and hour, so I don't think that is why I don't know what it is, either! Stinky people, I'm gonna go and cry in a corner. :(

It's a system that the US postal service uses to help distribute the mail more efficiently. The system began in 1963 and was revised in 1983 to include "zip+4" codes, to help determine a more precise location for the mail to be delivered. Most people only use the original 5 digit zip code, though. To determine your zip code, just look at your mail when it comes or put your street address and town in mapquest or yahoo maps and your zip code will come up.

Do you want to know why you don't know your zip code? Because you probably have never sent a handwritten letter in your lifetime. Computers although a necessary evil, have turned our youths' brains into mush. Even Bill Gates limits the time his kids spend on the computer. A zip code represents the mailing area of where you are located. Go to "map quest" and type in your town,State, and address. That'll give you your zip code. Geesh...
