in my college app essay but I feel that the college admissions committee probably heard that too many times. Any suggestions as to some quotes along the same line. Btw its for UNC and the question is what can you contribute to the college?

I don't think our teachers really care about us. I used to hate my teacher, then I stopped lhating her. But everytime I don't say "hi" to her, she has an attitude. She told me she cared about me, but it doesn't seem like she does when she ignores me for not speaking to her. Why do yall even teach? Being mean and strict is not showing that you care about your students. If yall really loved and cared about us, you would be nice and tell us on a weekly (or monthly) basis.

Yeah, this has nothing to do with sex but now that you've clicked you might as well answer. For my Biology class we're doing these "Bio-Talks" where we give a 10 minute presentation on anything relating to science. I can't think of anything interesting to do, so any cool scientific study/idea/field/whatever that you can think of would help me choose what I want to do. I'll give the best answer to people who present me with interesting parts of science. Don't cop out with crap I already have thought about doing like global warming. Thanks.

I found out more of the reason why I was not accpeted into college. My highchool credits do not appease the admissions. I lack 2 foreign languages and 1 lab science (they do not accept principles of technology cm as physics, that is just another name for it were i live)
and algebra 2 (highschool did not offer algebra 2 at the time). Pretty much to the colleges I did not graduate from highschool as far as they are concerned. I took a full load of classes all 4 years without ever failing a class, however. I cant take college courses to appease these requirements ( they only appease to the college level and still demand a highschool level requirement to appease that I fullfilled the highschool requirements) I have already graduated from highschool, Is it possible to get a GED as well to get these requirements? I have a little girl who is turning 5 in a couple of weeks. She knows all of her letters and most of her sounds. She is very serious about learing how to read. She decided she wanted to do this herself (she is only in preschool). She is very prould when she remembers the word. However, because she is so young she doesn't remember all of them and gets frustrated. Do you have any advice on how to keep her encouraged? And, any advice on ways to teach her to read? What worked for you?
