From a naturalistic point of view what is the ultimate expression of an evil act against the individual?

It is said that the most cruel act (and therefore evil act) is crucifixion. Sometimes people lasted days before they died. The agony was from the fact that to get a breath, the person had to push down on the nails in the feet and pull against the nails in the wrists. imagine that about five or six times a minute this agony repeated itself. However, the human will to live is strong, and although there was no hope, the condenmed would try to stay alive. Finally when he could not push down anymore, because of the pain, he died of suffication.

Sorry to be so vivid, but that is how grusome it was. Evil wasn't it.
