This is a profound question. I love it. I would have to agree with smileymduke, with the exception, of course, of the fact that the first orgamism who had blood in it's viens would have cause it. The birth of the first organism.

the first drop of blood was dropped by the first organism to use blood as its respiratory fluid. It happened after that organism was bitten by a vampire.
