Price to be negotiated but very reasonable - obviously its students we are talking about here!

I want to mail something, but if I put it in an envelope it would most likely bust, so I want to put it in a small box. The problem is, I've never mailed anything this way before, and I don't know if it costs more, where to do it, if I have to go to the post office, and stuff like that. For an English assignment, I am to write an essay of at least five paragraphs in which I must talk about the reality of the issue (the conflict between popular interpretation of science) and religion (more specifically, Christianity) and compare and contrast that with how fictional literature depicts the issue. I've got Inherit the Wind, but that's it. Any suggestions?
