ok i am not trying to follow in the footsteps of my mother, she is on welfare, but for a good reason, she gets SSI, so she isnt able to work, so she gets welfare for me and my brother. i am going to college in the fall and im pretty sure i will get grants and what not to pay for college, but what about my other living expenses you know, i would work but i am gonna be going to school full time, 12 credit hrs is full time and i plan to do 14 or 15, why well i wanna be a psychiatrist and that takes tyically 12 years, i wanna shorten that as much as possible. should i ask for help or should i just stay the way i am and just live poor? i will be making a lot of money later on and all but im talking about right now. i would work but it will be nearly impossible dont you think, i am asking for advice so please dont say i am trying to work the system. Thanks

So I've been looking into schools for Multimedia Design. I've been to the Art Institute, ITT, Jones etc. These schools want 80,000 for a four year degree! I really want to go to school, but I can't afford that kind of tuition. Am I doomed?

By the way many young people spend theirselves into debt it will take decades to get out of it seems parents aren't doing a good enough job of teaching it at home. Would the country be better off if its citizens knew how to handle money, or would that kill the economy?

a few other girls and myself caught a girl smoking methamphetamines in the bathroom during class breaks. we all caught this girl on different occassions. my instructor asked me about it one day after class because one of the girls told him. so i told my instructor what i saw.
i don't know my exact reasons for being pissed...but i'm mad because they (the instructor and the dean) let the girl get away with it. so this means that if i want to snort coke in the councelor's office it would be okay because because all their going to do is slap my hand for it and tell me not to do it again? my mom said that there wasn't anything that the college could do about it. i disagree though. does anyone know what usually happens to someone that gets caught doing this on campus? any advice is appreciated. thanks and stay warm!

I have already been in touch with Sask. learning and because I have a 3 year BA in English and then a one year Postgraduate Certificate in secondary Education I can't teach get a Professional A Certificate. Is there any other way of teaching? A provisional certificate? Please help. I love teaching and am so desperate to teach over here.
