I need an idea to help me pay for the summer classes. Extra income ideas or funding ideas. (serious advice only - selling myself is not an option.)

There is an option on the financial aid to take summer classes with a college or university. Also, there is an option to participate in the work study program on campus which can bring in extra dollars along with college experience. I will include some free sources also to locate scholarsip money.

First, the college's financial aid office and website has a list of private scholarships offered from outside organizations and companies. Sometimes a college major's website will list scholarships, too.

Second, the public library has a book listing scholarships with some not even listed on the web.

Finally, I recommend joining several free membership scholarship search websites. There are scholarships for a variety of things including ethnicity, clubs, hobbies, and even wearing duct tape to the high school prom. Most are updated on a regular basis. Most offer a customized search based on information entered onto a form on the website.

Good luck!

You can recieve summer financial aid. If you attend classes have time then you should have enough financial aid to pay for your classes and enough money leftover to pay bills. You can't attend full time and have enough money to pay bills because fin. aid works differently in the summer. Also, try the local mall if there is one they always have jobs available. You could try for a work study job on campus if you have work study. There are several jobs that become available in the summer because so many students leave for home. Easy extra income idea - get a newspaper route.

When I was in college (3 years ago) financial aid paid for my summer school. Talk to your financial aid office. You may have extra money for summer school. If not, get a part time job or ask your parents to get a student loan.

you will need to contact the financial aid office to determine if you have use all of your aid during the fall and spring semesters. For instance, students who are receiving pell and were not fulltime during the fall and spring semester, usually have pell remaining. Though, some don't think so.
