Bachelor of Science: a bachelor's degree is a first degree, which normally takes 3-4 years to complete, so you graduate at 21-22 if you went straight from school; and it's in a scientific discipline to distinguish it from, for instance, Arts (BA) or Law (LLB) degrees.
(Hons) means graduated with Honours. This should indicate a better quality of degree than a simple "Pass" degree, though many universities award honours to 95%+ of graduates. The level of honours achieved gives a better insight:
First class honours (1) - extremely high standard
Upper Second Class Honours (2:1) - High standard
Lower Second Class Honours (2:2) - Good standard
Third class honours (3) - only just honours grade (still no shame in that).
You normally need a 2:1 or better to get a place on a PhD course.

Bsc(Hons) degree is supposed to be given to someone who did outstanding work as part of their degree. However these days its given to every one who get a fixed percentage, say 60%.If a student fails to achieve this percentage, he/she will be given an ordinary degree. There are three types of honors - first class hons, second class, third class.Usually, cutoff for first class hons is around 60%
